HIT
HIT is a saw mill and producer of wood pallets and other wood products (such as sawn wood, pellets and briquettes). With over 16 m pallets produced in 2017, HIT is the largest manufacturer of EPAL-certified pallets in Germany and Europe and a cost leader in the industry. HIT has an integrated production set-up, which covers the entire value chain from the own harvesting or procurement of wood to the production of wood pallets, in which all residues accrued in the saw mill are used for the production of intermediate products or marketable end products. For instance, sawdust is used for the production of wood blocks for pallets, briquettes and pellets. In addition, five bio mass power plants are operated with wood bark and other residues. HIT employs about 590 people and operates its main production site in Torgau, Germany
