Weidemann
Weidemann, located in Diemelsee, Germany, is a leading manufacturer of compact, flexible-use wheel loaders. SSVP acquired 100% of the Weidemann Group from its founder, who was also the manager at the time, in a failed auction in October 2002. While the business was profitable at acquisition, it lacked management and internal systems, and was facing a difficult succession issue. A new CEO and a new CFO were hired, and a comprehensive internal reorganization plan was implemented. The sales team was strengthened by adding international competence, production was partially outsourced to Eastern Europe, and a number of successful procurement and manufacturing projects were completed. Internal control systems and documentation procedures were implemented. Weidemann GmbH was acquired by Wacker Neuson SE in 2005.
