The two Oetinger production sites Weißenhorn and Neu-Ulm are leading aluminium scrap recycling companies focused on production of casting alloys and known for excellent technological competences, in particular for customized special alloys. The two sites benefit from a high degree of liquid aluminium deliveries as well as regional and close customer relationships. In addition, Oetinger’s business is strongly integrated with its customers due to a considerable volume of conversion business. Over the years, the two sites have achieved excellent customer acceptance due to high quality, reliability, flexibility, and cost effectiveness. SSVP III acquired the production sites Weißenhorn from Aluminiumschmelzwerk Oetinger GmbH and Neu-Ulm from Karl Konzelmann Metallschmelzwerke GmbH & Co. KG in 2013, ensuring their long-term continuation after insolvency of the former Oetinger Group. End of 2017 Oetinger Group was sold to Metal Trade Comax group, a Czech metal processing company comprising of a large continuous coil coating generation as well as of aluminium recycling operation. The objective of Metal Trade Comax is to create with Oetinger a second strong business unit in the aluminium recycling industry in Europe.
